Locust Fork of the Warrior River is one of the most beautiful rivers in Alabama. It was a challenge to get down this whitewater river, especially for a flat water paddler like me. Jim Lacefield wrote some intriguing text for the wrapper describing this river as one older than the mountains that it cuts through. You will enjoy his book, “Lost Worlds in Alabama Rock”.
