Tensaw Delta



One of the wildest, most wonderful places in this state that pulses with life. Waters from two thirds of this state flow down through the Tensaw Delta, with the tides pushing up twice a day. This convergence at the head of Mobile Bay create a water garden unlike any place else in the world. New plants blooming every few weeks, weather constantly changing along with the tides, fish and birds moving through their daily schedules as well as their seasonal cycles. It is an intense place filled with life and a wonder to observe.
